Hello Everyone, I went outlet shopping with my mother this week. We went to this huge outlet center with stores including Guess, Juicy Couture, Ralph Lauren, Forever 21, Under Armor, and best of all THE COSMETIC COMPANY OUTLET! In case you do not know what the Cosmetic Company Outlet it is an outlet that sells MAC, Clinique, and Estee Larder. They do not have a official website but I will link here a website that you can type in your zip code and find the closest one to you. I live in a big city with no outlet malls remotely close to me so they only time I get to go is when I am visiting family. I don’t know about the Clinique and Estee Larder but they have some really great deals on MAC. They carry discounted items and items that you can buy at your store for cheaper. They get their products from Department Stores like Nordstroms and Bloomingdales who change out their products often. When I was there last week (June 2012) I was able to find sets from the Holiday 2011, 2010, and 2009 and items from old collections like Liberty of London, To the Beach, Surfs Up, and Styledriven. They had two large racks full of MAC products, I was in heaven! I resisted to only buy three things since I will be going again to a different one next week. If you are a MAC lover like I am I would certainly check it out. Some things to keep in mind when you go there is they don’t show the original price on the products and that they have samples out and you hand them which ones you want and they get them out of the back. I was very confused how to actually get the product the first time and so was my mother. If you are planning to go to a Cosmetic Company Outlet I would create a list of some things you want to buy like eyeshadows, shadestick, Dazzleglasses, ect and write down the retail cost. That way, when you are at the store you can tell how much you are saving to better decide if it is worth it. The three things I bought are pictured below. I am going to just do an overview of the products and then I will have a full review of two of them later this week.
Pro Longwear Lipglass in Show Me! Normally $19.50 bought for $13.75 saved $5.75: I saw the color of this and I just full in love with it. It is just such a pretty nude color with peach shimmer. I thought it was a dazzleglass at first because I wasn’t paying much attention. It turned out to be a pro longwear lipglass which I was actually really excited about because I have never tried them and I got it for a nice discount. This is from the Styledriven Collection and in the permanent.
Mac Shadestick in Shimmersand Normally $16.50 bought for $12.25 saved $4.25: This is my first shadestick from MAC. These are discounted and I have never tried it so I was like why not get it. I have worn this the last few days and I think the glow it gives my eyes is wonderful but I have to press very hard to apply it and when I woke up this morning my eyes were killing me from pressing so hard.
Give me Liberty of London Eyeshadow Normally $14.50 bought for $10.25 saved $4.25: When the Liberty of London Collection first came out, I did not buy anything from it. However, when I was at the CCO I saw two of the eyeshadows and I decided to get the one that the collection was named after. It is a matte eyeshadow and I would describe it as a dusty pink. It is very light which is good for me since I don’t tend to wear bright eyeshadow. It does need a strong base like Urban Decay’s Primer Potion though in order to get a decent amount of color.
Like I said before, I will be going to another one sometime in the next week and a half. I will most likely not do a haul of that one but I will let you all know what I am planning on buying. I love MAC’s lip products more than anything they sell so I am going to get a new Lipstick, Dazzleglass, and something random from an old collection I didn’t get when it first came around.
