Hey guys, I decided to do something a little different for my blog today. My friend and I were bored and decided to make oreo truffles. Typically I am not a fantastic baker but these were so quick and easy! To my surprise, they turned out really well and were DELICIOUS!

We drove to a close by grocery store and picked up Double Stuffed Oreos, 4oz of cream cheese (we used reduced fat ) and some dipping chocolate. I know cream cheese and chocolate doesn’t sound like the most appealing thing in the world … but trust me, they are to die for.  Make sure you don’t use regular chocolate because we tried to double boil the white chocolate and they didn’t turn out as well as the ones with dipping chocolate.

First we separated the icing from the oreo cookies and placed all the icing in a bowl (you dont need many oreos!) and all the cookies in a ziploc bag. Then we crushed the oreos (you can use a food processor if you have one.) Next put 4oz of cream cheese into the bowl of icing and mix. Slowly add the crushed oreo. Once its all mixed together, make them into little balls and put them on a cookie sheet with wax paper on it and freeze for 15 min.

Now its time to melt the chocolate! Just follow the directions on the back of the dipping chocolate.

Now take the oreo out of the freezer and dip them into chocolate, (if they fall in just put a toothpick in it and gently pull it out.) Then place them back on the tray. If you have any extra crushed oreo you can sprinkle it over the top to make them look nice. After you are finished place them back in the freezer for 15 min. We had some extra chocolate and dipped strawberries in it to go in the freezer also. Who would waste perfectly good chocolate??
